***SPOILER ALERT*** Do not continue reading unless you have already read this book. I will ruin it for you.
I read Me Before You by Jojo Moyes without knowing a thing about it. Big mistake. Big. Huge. I have to go shopping now. {10 points if you can name the movie that is from!}
It is the BEST-WORST book ever. Like ever. {Did I mention ever?}
I quickly fell in love with the story. A girl, looking for work, ends up being a caregiver of a quadriplegic man {he had an accident 2 years prior}. She finds out that he wants to commit assisted suicide {Yes, I should had put it down at that point, but I was already wrapped up in the story - it was quite a ways into the book!}, and she takes the next 4 months to try to change his mind, to convince him that life CAN be worth living. In the process she falls in love with him. Well *spoiler alert* he falls in love with her too and STILL commits assisted suicide. Stupid. Pointless. Idiotic.
Now I know this isn't a Christian book by any means {there are some swear words, and she is sleeping with her then boyfriend} but there are a bajillion reasons to live...and love is definitely one of them.
So will I be seeing the movie??? Oh heck no!
This book gets 1 start.
