Week #29 {2018}

Sunday we drove down to Florida.
We spent Monday & Tuesday at the beach.
Wendesday we headed back home.
It was a LONG drive home.
Friday Bombi looked so cute with his bone.
We went to the pool and my nieces met us there.  It's so fun having them close again!
Saturday my family came over for dinner.  There are 7 of us in this picture.  Can you find all of us?
I made Funnel Cakes for dessert!

Florida {Mini} Vacation

We drove down to Chris' cousin's house in Jacksonville Florida for a mini vacation.  We got there late and the kids went straight for the pool.  We woke up early the next morning to go watch the sunrise {while Chris and Dylan slept in - boogers!}.  It was amazing.
And we even got to see dolphins swim by.
It was spectacular!
Later that morning we came back to the beach for the day.
This cute guy had to do some work while at the beach.  But it's the best place TO be working!

We stopped for slurpees on the way home.
For dinner we went to Clark's Fish Camp.  It had this real life alligator on display.
And then the rest of the place was covered in taxidermy animals.
This is the view outside the restaurant.
My best friend.
The next day we headed back to the beach.
Not a bad view, huh?
We saw a storm rolling in and we left just in time.
We headed down to St. Augustine and walked around there.
It was a super fun day!

Universal Studios {Harry Potter World - Diagon Alley}

Happy MLK Day!  We woke up and had breakfast at the hotel.
Then said goodbye to Rene and the boys. It was SO fun having them go with us yesterday!
Then we went to Universal Studios.  BTW - a friend recommended that we pay the extra $10 for the preferred parking and we were SOOOO glad we did!  After standing/walking for 2 days, are feet were tired!
~
Walking {or riding} to the entrance.
Universal was fun...
But the real reason we came was for Harry Potter World, for Dylan.
Ohmigoodness, it was done SO WELL!
It felt like we walked right into the books/movies!
Payton was chosen to participate in Ollivanders' Wand Shop Show. Which bummed Dylan out that he didn't get chosen, but was excited that at least someone in our family got to do it.
Olivanders' Wand Shop was packed with people and amazing to look at!
Dylan was completely geeked out.
We ate lunch at The Leaky Cauldron.  We got the Bangers and Mash and it was SO stinking good.  Seriously, if you go, you need to try it!
We waited in line to ride Gringott's Money Exchange and the decor was spectacular!
We took a break and went back out to Universal.
And then back to Diagon Alley so the kids could use their interactive wands.  You can't really tell in this photo, but Dylan is helping Rylan...it was so sweet.
Then it was time to say goodbye.
Something that was brilliant on Universal's part, but SUCH A BUMMER for us was that Harry Potter World is divided between 2 parks.  Diagon Alley is at Universal Studios and Hogsmeade is at Universal Islands of Adventure.  You have to pay entrance for TWO parks to see all of Harry Potter World.  We didn't know this until we were there. Hopefully will be able to go back at some point and see Hogsmeade.
