I definitely missed my daddy a whole bunch this year.  I'm not sure that will ever change, or get better.  I have moments of reminiscing with laughter and then at times with tears.  There's been so many times I wish he was here to experience what we are doing or going through. But I am SO grateful for the time we had with him.  He was an amazing daddy and I have such great, wonderful, funny, loving memories of him.  Miss you dad!

Week # 52 {2017} - Christmas Break Continued

Sunday was Christmas Eve.
Monday was Christmas Day!
Tuesday Dylan and I took Bombi to the dog park to run him.  He had a bunch of energy and he plowed right into me and knocked me over.
I'm grateful Dylan was there, because he was able to help get the dog and help me into the car.  So the rest of the day I did this:
Wednesday was my birthday.
Thursday I stayed on the couch, and the kiddos played.
 Bombi has been my snuggle buddy lately.  It's almost like he knows he hurt me and is trying to say sorry.
 Friday Rylan wrote a book.  It was my favorite.
 Bombi and I snuggled more.
 Payton was having a boo hoo moment missing Papa Nutt and then this happened.
 It was sweet to see Dylan reach out to try to comfort her.  I love my kiddos!
Saturday Chris laid the tile in our Master Bathroom.
 Then we went out to lunch to celebrate my birthday {crutches and all!}.  We went to Edley's BBQ in 12 South.  The food was amazing {as usual}.
But the company was better!
 {Chris and Rylan were there too!}
Going out in the cold doesn't seem to bother Bombi TOO much.  He will still sits at the door before he comes in.  {But then goes straight to someones lap, or the space heater or the fire to warm up.}

My Birthday/Sprained Ankle

Today I turned 39.  It's the last year in my 30's and it's not starting out so great.  See this little booger, trying to snuggle up to me?
Yeah, he plowed into me at the dog park yesterday and I totally rolled my ankle. I stayed off of it pretty much the rest of the day, but could hobble to the restroom and to bed.  I woke up this morning and couldn't put any weight on it at all.  So my momma picked me up and took me to the Walk-In.
Good news it's sprained, not broken.  The nurse wrapping my ankle said, "Yes, but sometimes sprains are worse than brakes."  I replied, "Yes, but they are cheaper!"  Hahahaha.
P-Girl and I spent the day watching Hallmark Christmas movies.
We had Papa Murphy's for dinner and this sweet boy had made me a birthday cake.
It was lemon and it was delicious!
Guess it wasn't such a bad birthday after all!
