Week #18 {2019}

Good morning Sunday morning!
Ry is loving his new birthday toys.
 The kids rode around the property,
 and Ry brought me a sweet bouquet of wild flowers.
 Chris was mowing the back pasture and sent me this photo he took from the back looking at our house.   It is so peaceful.
 Monday I heard Rylan rummaging in the kitchen, when I asked what he was doing he said "Making a snack."  This salad was his snack.  (Yes, really he made himself a salad!)
We hit a big milestone today.  We had this in our yard.

And now it looks like this.  It's crazy that we are out of that stage of life.
 Tuesday while the kids were in school, we had a day-date and went to the movies to see Endgame.  Our anniversary is coming up and we celebrated a little early.
This was Thursday morning...
 and by afternoon pick up, it looked like this.
 Friday Dylan went to the Military Ball with JROTC. Man, he looks so handsome in uniform!
 Saturday morning...
 It's actually Chris and my Anniversary...  but we have soccer games today.  We took the kids to Alex's Tacos and Wings (SUPER YUMMY) after the games to celebrate.

1st Day of Kindergarten {eek!}

Today I sent my baby off to Kindergarten....
He was SO very excited to go to school.
{Look who was watching us take pictures!}
We all prayed over him and this upcoming year.
Dad helped him with his backpack.
He gave his big guy hugs good-bye. {I can't believe just 8 short years ago we were sending HIM off to kindergarten.}
And then some final words of wisdom for little man.
Payton and Rylan will be at the same school this year.
And he was ready to go with his TMNT backpack of course! {Thanks Unc and Auntie D!}
Me and my buddy.
He hung up his backpack and checked out his classroom.
Then gave me one last hug goodbye.
I kept it together until I got to the parking lot and then boo-hooed.  It is a new season of life for me.  Ry was always with me for errands, car rides and now my car was quiet.  When I told Ry that I would miss him, he said "But you have Bombi now!".  Ha!  It's just not the same.  Fortunately Chris was working from home that day, so I didn't come home to an empty house.  Plus Bombi was chewing this bone and we were laughing at the fact that it was probably louder than Rylan would have been at home!
I kept busy with some work, and house work, and then it was time to leave to get the kids. Chris went with me and on the way down our driveway we had to stop for this rat snake {shudder}.  I think snakes and spiders are the worst thing about country living!
It was a beautiful day driving to pick them up.
And on our way we saw my momma walking into an Antique Store!  Hi Momma!
There they are!
He had a GREAT day and talked non-stop about everything he experienced.
He can't wait to go back to school {but has to wait until next Wednesday - yes, it's a crazy school start schedule!}

Payton Got Her Ears Pierced

When we were in California back in February Payton wrote this up and asked us to sign it.
She had been begging us to get her ears pierced and Auntie D told her that when we say okay, she would take her to get them done.  Payton held up her end of the deal so when Auntie D and Unc got out here, one of the first things to do was to get Payton's ears pierced.
~
She was a little nervous {obviously}.
And had quite an audience there to support her.
She did awesome and didn't even shed a tear.
Thanks Unc and Auntie D!

Dylan's 6th Grade Dance

Dylan had his very first school dance tonight.
Fortunately, most of the 6th graders went stag,
which was perfectly fine with me.
He was a teeny bit nervous as we drove to drop him off...but he ran right in.
When we went to pick him up, about a 3rd of the kids were on the dance floor doing the whip and nae nae, and the rest {including Dylan and Cullen} were hanging out, and goofing around.
He had a great time and can't wait to go to the next one!

Week #45 {2015}

Sunday we Facetimed with Auntie Jeanniners.
Ry called us in to see his butterfly he made...with his waffle.
Dylan was laying on the ground {watching tv} when Rylan crawled up and snuggled in next to him. Ry then turned to find Payton and invited her to join them.
I posted about the cheap gas prices last week but Monday morning they dropped even more!
I made/ate Honey Crisp Apple Salad for lunch. It's a perfect fall salad.
I got some awesome fun mail full of free stuff from Influenster.com! Yay!
Ry was super excited about our enchiladas at dinner time.
Tuesday while Ry and I were at Costco, we saw Natalie Grant shopping there! How cool huh?
~
On the way home he fell asleep holding his soda.
We found a very unwanted house guest out front. His body was literally the size of my thumb. {shudder!}
Wednesday morning I pulled another one of Payton's teeth. We are this close to having to blend her food into smoothies!
Every Wednesday is wash day. And every week I wonder HOW on earth we create so much laundry! {This was only half.}
We got to see a late afternoon hot air balloon walking home from Payton's bus.
And then this happened with our soon-to-be neighbors {who are building the house across the street}.
Levi is 1 month older than Ry and they are best buds!
We finished the night watching the CMA's. Wasn't Justin Timberlake awesome?
Thursday brought some awesome afternoon skies.
And fun times with the neighbors!
P had a sweet friend over for a bit.
And then I got food poisoning. I'll spare you the gross details but as I was laying on the bathroom floor all 3 kids were trying to be helpful and get me stuff. This is what they had layed out for me. {I have the sweetest kids.}
Friday. Payton earned lunch with the principal at school. She was scheduled for it a couple of weeks ago but they postponed it until next week. She JUST showed me this cute card for it.
Saturday Mia {a neighbor} came over to make cookies with us.
Then we had some tea to go with the cookies. {Yes, Rylan LOVES hot tea...especially in these tiny teacups from Gigi.}
Then we went for a walk with the White's and found a couple of wood pallets.  They were awesome and helped me carry them back home for a project.
Then the greatest thing happened.  Kids kept coming over to hang out.  At one point there were 11 kids at our home and I loved every second of it. {I'm obviously a TOTAL extrovert!}
While they were playing outside Chris sent me this.
We have had weather in the 70's this week and it was beautiful.  Today it dropped to 56 and it was SO cold.  I had on a bunch of layers, a beanie and was wrapped up in a huge blanket while I watched the kids play outside.  It was freezing, but a total BLAST!
