Honor System

It is not uncommon to drive down a street and see this (or something similar) in the front yard of a home.

It's a produce stand full of all the fresh fruits and vegetables that the homeowner grew. We finally stopped at one today named "Papa G's". They only had tomatoes today. But the sign on the front said, zucchini ($1/lb), squash ($1/lb), cucumbers (2/$1).
It's done on the honor system. See the scale? To the left of the scale is a mailbox that has plastic grocery bags inside. Under the scale is a black toolbox (with a padlock on it) with a slit cut in the top for you to put the money into. We got a pound of tomatoes today. Can't wait to go back for more.
