Well, I did it! I reached my goal of reading 12 books this year {1 per month} and it's only June 13th!
Who would have thought I could do that? Maybe I will have read 24 by the end of the year {but I highly doubt that.}?!

I have a list of "to read books" on my phone that I am trying to get through. {It's funny that the more I read, the more books I discover that I WANT to read!} We headed to the library and none of those books were available. They have a bunch through their e-lending library but you can only borrow those for 7 days {which I would have to cram to read it all}, and I really do like holding a physical book better. So I grabbed this book, knowing nothing about it.
It was tagged as a Christian book, I liked the title, the cover was cute and the author is from Anaheim, California. Therefore it MUST be a great read, right? It's like women choosing which football team they are rooting for based on the colors of their uniform . . . not that I've ever done that before!
Anywho.
I LOVED this book! Without giving away too much, it is set in 1890. So imagine Lady Sybil {from Downton Abbey} being sent to America for a potential arranged marriage. She devises a plan and ends up in Texas pretending to be a young man working on a ranch just to avoid that marriage. Of course there's more to the story. But you will have to read it for yourself to find out!
