Eek! Chris and I had the most AMAZING time celebrating our FIFTEEN year wedding anniversary! It was dreary and raining, but we weren't going to let that spoil our evening.
We don't usually do anything big for our anniversary, but this year we did! {Chris had to work the evening of our 10 year anniversary... which made this even more awesome!}
~
Gigi had kiddo duty {THANKS MOM!}, and we got dressed up...
and headed to the Gulch in Downtown Nashville to have dinner at Kayne Prime.
I had been drooling over their menu for over a week and knew exactly what I wanted to order.
We ordered the Black Peppercorn Maple Cotton Candy Bacon {yes....you read that right} and the Popcorn Buttered Lobster. When they brought them out, they also put down a cheese plate and told us that all the appetizers were courtesy of Steve and Michelle {Chris' boss and husband}! Michelle had called in and arranged it for us. We were blown away!
We shared an Iceberg Wedge Salad {that's half a salad}.
And then there was Pop Overs, Cream Corn Brûlée, and Potato Gratin.
I ordered the Wagyu Filet Mignon {Chris got the New York Strip}. And it was A-MAZ-ING.
We were so stuffed at this point, but our server, told us that because it was our anniversary, dessert was on the house! He recommended the Toasted Banana Bread and it was insane.... words cannot describe how good this is.
It was banana bread, that was crisp on the outside, a tiny bit gooey on the inside, and the top was caramelized like a creme brûlée. Then they top it with vanilla ice cream.
We devoured it.
This is Chris' "holy cow that was good" face.
Isn't he handsome? And he is all mine.
Babe, I love you more and more each day. I cannot imagine life without you in it. I am so thankful for you, thankful for the way you lead our family, thankful that you are an amazing husband and father.
