Butternut Squash with Sweet & Spicy Pecans {recipe}

Since today was another Snow Day {that makes 7 for this year so far!}, I decided to try out this soup for lunch.
My sister Jeannine {hi J!} texted me this recipe and told me, not only that it was fantastic, but I HAD to make extra pecans because it makes the soup. 
Once I roasted the squash, I remembered how much I love butternut squash. {Why don't I make it more often?}
The soup was super easy and super yummy.
And my sister was right about the pecans! Holy moley! I kept stealing nibbles before lunch.

P.S. In full disclosure, Chris and I loved the soup. The kids? Notsomuch. I fixed them quesadillas instead!
