Blue Ridge

We (Craig, Sasha, Mom, Chris, Dylan, Payton, Rylan and I) took a day trip today.  Payton was tired and slept on the way up there.

Dylan enjoyed playing his DS on the road.

Rylan just chilled.  Notice his binky?

Blue Ridge is such a cute and amazing town.  We stopped at Three Sisters Fudge and got yummy fudge.  Yes, it was mid morning and we were eating dessert (again!).

The town was eclectic and beautiful.  All the buildings are a combo of new and old architecture.

Need a plant shaped as a moose?

This is a HUGE sign on the side of one building.

We went into Huck's General Store.

It was FULL of jarred foods (salsa, honey, vegetables, cider, etc.).

See the jalapeno pickled eggs next to me?

The center of the store was FULL of candy.  We saw some nostalgic candy that we haven't see in years.

And Chris found an awesome shirt.

The plants and landscaping around the stores were beautiful.

They found a bear.

Happy boy Rylan.

Taking a break to eat lunch.

Stopped by Panorama Orchards for some fried hand pies (apple & peach) with a side of vanilla ice cream.

Dylan waiting for his sister to take the first bite (so sweet!).

My beautiful mommy, Rylan and me.

Then we pulled off the road at Neel Gap.

It was on top of the Blue Ridge Mountains.  A storm had come trough, but it was still breath taking.

I love this guy!

This is the end/beginning of a hiking trail head.
