California {Day 10 & 11}

June 20, 2013
I finally finished my New Years Resolution from 2012 today.
So it took me a year and a half.  Woops!

Kenzi came over and curled Payton's hair.  It was so pretty.

Then we went to Olive Garden to see my nephew, Geoff (top right).

We were surprised when Shawn showed up (with Davese, Kenzi & Priscilla).
Shawn had been around our family for years.
We hadn't seen him in a while as he is in the Navy and has been deployed on a submarine for a LONG time.
He is such a great guy and we were stoked to see him!

Afterwards we went back to the Orange Circle.
(Rylan has a new trick - he sticks his whole hand in his mouth and gags himself making himself throw up.  We had to leave early on Tuesday because we ran out of clean clothes for him.  Sorry if that is TMI.)
Then that evening we went to Downtown Disney.
Tried on hats and Perry the Platypus gear.
Went to the Lego Store (Dylan was so geeked out - see bottom right pic).
And just people watched.  There were SO many people there.
{Once again - crazy!}
Then we went to the top of the parking structure to watch Disneyland's nightly fireworks!
(See I told you . . . Dylan and Penelope are best buds!)
June 21, 2013
I love that my boys love each other.
Helping Gigi fill their vending machines.
My parents own and service some vending machines in their area.
Lunch at The Old Spaghetti Factory.
Yum!
We grew green onions in a glass of water.
I saw it on Pinterest and it actually worked!
Rylan learned how to crawl on top of the dining room table.
And D-man had such a loose tooth . . .
That he actually pulled it out himself!

California {Day 8 & 9}

June 18, 2013
We decided to walk to get breakfast this morning.

We took the kids to a donut shop (their first time ever!).
They've had donuts before, but not been into a donut shop to pick out one for themselves.

They loved it.  Rylan, not so much!
(I guess that is a good problem to have.)

Getting into Gigi's dishwasher and "organizing" the silverware.

Hitting the road!

We went to Old Town Orange to all the Antiques stores there.
Payton found a bunny that is EXACTLY like the one Sasha has at home.

Dylan loved looking at all the old (and sometimes new - shocking) things for sale.

For lunch we had one of my favorite subs from when I was in high school, at Orange Tree Deli.
They were sweet and split it into 4 sandwiches for us.

On the way home we got caught at the train.
Oh . . . I cannot count how many times I've had to wait for these trains.
There was even one night when I had to pee SO bad and . . . well, I'll save that story for another time.

We counted the cars . . . 140.

It was a loooooong one!
The trip wouldn't be complete without a stop at Costco (and eating samples!).

We met up with everyone at the Food Trucks.
It was a fun (aka - yummy) night!
Look at some of the things I got to try . . .

My favorite?  The bacon wrapped date.  Oh my!
Clockwise starting top left:
Hanging out, talking
Jeannine and Thor
Auntie D and Payton and Dylan
Davese, Rylan and Me
Chase (Kenzi's "Friend-boy"), Kenzi and Thor
Always time for kisses.
Penelope and Me

My baby-da-gerl (daddy calls her that) and me.

Dessert?  Thrifty ice cream from Rite Aid!

Do you like Payton's {nasty} florescent "Cotton Candy" ice cream?  Yuck!
After that we hung out at Auntie D's.

My mom and Kenzi
Me and Ry Guy
Juliette and Payton
June 19, 2013
Dylan and Payton ended up having a sleep over at Auntie D's with the cousins.
Looks like they had too much fun {smile}!

My sweet boy having Hot Coco.

We met back up and headed to Newport Beach.

It was a perfect day.
Beautiful weather (not too cold),
not a lot of people (shockingly),
and the kids had a blast.
Did you see the crabs they caught (and released back into the water after picture time)?

Clockwise starting top left:
Juliette and Me
Our "camp" for the day
Dylan and Penelope - 3 months apart in age and BEST buds
My little sandy man
The best attempt I got for a pic of all 3 of my kids
Catching teeny-tiny sand crabs
 This is what tired, sandy munchkins looks like.
 Prior to marriage, I lived down at Newport Beach. So I showed the kids which house I lived in.
It was the back bottom unit.  My door was way down that walk way right where the fence is.
215 1/2 20th Street
I thought it was cool to have a "half" address.
Heading home at 2:39pm on a Wednesday and we hit traffic.
{Crazy I tell ya!}

So do you think we did enough for today?
Of course not!
The kids went night swimming too.

We like them good and tired!

California {Day 6 & 7}

June 16, 2013 {Father's Day}
I am so glad that I got to hug on my daddy this Father's Day!
After moving, I appreciate these moments so much more.

The kids and I took daddy to Kimmy's Coffee Cup (one of his favorites) for breakfast.

And some sweet man (who wanted to remain anonymous) paid for our meal!
What a blessing!  It blew us away.
So THANK YOU kind man - whomever you are.
We went to church with my parents.
And both my sister's came too!
For lunch we had our first In-N-Out of the trip.

It was yummy as always.

Ry even liked it (of course)!
I love getting snuggles from this guy.

And I think we are finally pooped.

See?

After a quick rest, it was tree climbing time.

My little monkey.

Pool time at Thor's (my bro-in-law) sister's house!

Did you notice her amazing view?
It was a bit smoggy, but still pretty.
June 17, 2013
Time to say goodbye to Daddy.

I dropped him off at LAX while the kids were still sleeping.

We were ALL sad to see him go.
The next 8 days are going to be HARD!
Remember when I said they were tired?
She got dressed for the day and fell back asleep.

Hangin' with Papa Nutt watching tv.

Since Chris was gone, we took the kids to his FAVORITE place!
{Note the sarcasm . . .}
Chuck E. Cheese!
Ry had a blast.

He wanted to help Gigi work.
