An Epic Saturday

Saturday was epic . . . and crammed packed with awesome stuff!
We started off at Dylan's red belt testing. Which he did amazing at.
Then drove out to Lieper's Fork. Chris' boss has some land out there and we met him and his family there. The kids played in this awesome creek.
The boys drove a go kart all over the property . . . until Dylan rolled it! Doh! They were okay {thanking God for that!} with the exception of a sore knee for Dylan.
Ry wanted to drive,
so Mr. Kevin took him for a spin.
The property is so very beautiful and peaceful.
Dylan found a baby turtle in the creek.
And then it was shooting time.
Every kid got a chance to shoot the 22.
And then THIS kid got his turn and I think he got the bug. The NRA was in Nashville this weekend, and he almost got in the car and went straight down there.
He shot a 45 and a 357 too.
Right after we headed to Payton's friends birthday party.
The kids were POOPED! We all had so much fun. It was a FANTASTIC day!

TKD Red Belt Testing

Somebody tested for his red belt today!
It was all upper level belts {adults and lids} and we got to see some amazing talent.
Ry crafted with crayons stickers and wikisticks during the testing. He was proud of his artwork. I was happy that he worked quietly for an entire hour!
Dylan's turn to do his forms.
Jumping front kick
Sliding Side Kick
Awards ceremony is Friday!  We were SO VERY proud of his hard work, and effort his put in today.  Way to go Dylan!

Easter {2015}

Happy Resurrection Day!
I L.O.V.E. Ry's face in this photo.
I went for non-traditional baskets this year {still including plenty of junk food.}
Dylan discovered Cheerwine over Spring Break and was stoked to find a can in his basket.
After church we took the obligatory Easter pictures
Then my cousin's kids {who go to Belmont University} came down to eat with us.
Here's what we had:
Spinach Dip for our appetizer.
Steak {forgot to snap a pic, but it was delish}
Strawberry Spinach Salad (I added avocado, yum!)
{they brought} Caesar Salad
Rolls
~
Ry loved his duck mouth straw.
Here's Sierra.
And Sierra's friend, Caroline.
And Austin.
Yes, my kids were on them, next to them, bugging them, the ENTIRE time!
~
Egg hunt time!
Last Easter Chris and I had just returned from the hospital and I was in such a daze watching them find their eggs.  I'm glad I got to enjoy it more this year.
Egg hunt success!
We took a group photo before they left.

We had a wonderful day. We missed being with our families to celebrate but we're glad we had extended family over!
