In the News!

We got the September 2011 edition of "Around About East Canton" which is a local community magazine.  On page 32 & 33 they did a layout of First Day of School pictures.  Look carefully in the upper right hand corner:
Isn't he cute???  If you want to see the online version to see the picture better, click here.

On another note, we (Chris and I) went to my first prenatal appointment today.  That is always a bit exciting!  I did the normal; meet with the doctor, take a pregnancy test, get blood drawn, found out that I am 7 weeks and 3 days along, and that I am due April 26, 2012!

{Funny note - my mom's birthday is the 27th of April and my sister's is the 24th of April, so we *could* be doubling up on a birthday!}

I was really apprehensive as to choosing a new doctor because I LOVED LOVED LOVED my doctor in California, Dr. Laurence Fakinos.  (If anyone is looking for a OB in Mission Viejo, I HIGHLY recommend him.)  Wish I could still be under his care, but so far, I like the doctor that I saw today.

AWANA Night

Tonight was the first night of AWANAs.  It's a program at church where the kids have fun learning about God, his Word and memorizing Bible verses as well.  Dylan has learned SO many verses throughout his time in the AWANA program.  Dylan is on his 3rd and final year of being in Sparks and Payton finally get's to be a Cubbie!  She was so excited.
While they were at AWANAs, Chris and I got to go on a date. (Woohoo!)  We ended up trying a place called Mellow Mushroom and it was FANTASTIC!  You will have to just wait until Saturday for "What I Ate..." to see and hear about our yummy food.

Coco

All day today I have been thinking of my family in California...  Especially my sister and her family.  My nephew, Cody (aka Coco to my kids) left today for Marine Bootcamp!

Here is my most favorite recent picture of him, helping Dylan find Easter Eggs that were way up high...
I am so proud of him and I'm not even his mama!  It is so incredible to see him grow (I even saw him being born!) into such an amazing man.  It is so neat to see him step up to serve, protect and defend our country.
Here he is at 16, blushing cause I am kissing his cheek!

I love you Cody and will be praying for you daily!  You are going to make an EXCELLENT MARINE!
