The Solar Eclipse was a pretty big deal around here. Just 25 minutes North of us was the path of totality. Nashville was anticipating hundreds of thousands of people coming into the area just to watch it. So while it would have been fun to go up and see it, we decided to stay home and not fight the traffic and crowds {which ended up being just awful!}.
Also, they ended up canceling school so we got to hang out as a family and watch it!
In the morning, we were hanging around {lazily} when I saw Rylan walk up to Dylan, put his arms up for him to hold him. Dylan picked him up and I got to capture this sweet moment. {Yes, my heart melted a bit.}
We had our glasses and kept going out to check on the eclipse.
Dylan's school had made eclipse viewers which worked pretty well.
And yes, EVERYONE's social media pictures looked just like these...
Although we didn't have a FULL eclipse, it was still amazing to see how it affected everything. It got super dark. And it was kinda eerie.
Then when the sun was coming back, everything had an orange haze to it. It was a fun thing to experience as a family!
