Week #7 {2019}

Tuesday Bombi was hiding under my bed {his new favorite spot}.
 Wednesday was a super busy day for me.  I got to get some work done while I waited for a friend at The Fainting Goat.
 After she and I caught up, I met my sister and momma in Downtown Columbia for lunch.
 Then I went back and helped in Rylan's class room.
Thursday - HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!!!  Ry created his Valentine's Box all by himself.
 His teacher sent us this cute class picture of all the kids signing "I love you".
 Payton bought me a red rose from school today.  So sweet.
 Friday night snuggles with my little guy.
Saturday I straighten Payton's hair.  She looks so different!  I love my girl.

Week #7 {2018}

Sunday morning.  Bombi is NOT supposed to be on the couch....but he obviously doesn't care.  Ha!
I'm still making a ton of Almond Rocca...
Doesn't it look yummy?
Rylan has to make a Valentine's Day Box and his of course has to be orange!
Tuesday the Littles got their new belts in class since we missed the awards ceremony last week.
Gigi was there to watch the kiddos for us, while Chris and I took off on a date night!  We headed to Downtown Nashville...
Broadway was still bustling with people even though it is still cold outside!
We got to go to a Predators game!
It was super fun, and my date was hot!
Wednesday was Valentine's Day!
Thursday morning, I had a nuggle buddy while I was doing my quiet time.
Then this sweet girl joined me!
Friday morning, and little bits of spring are starting to show!
Saturday morning kisses for P-Girl!
Chris couldn't care less about getting awards...but he received this one from the Nashville Mortgage Bankers Association this week.  He wants to use it as target practice.  Hahaha!
While walking down the driveway we found a small (16") snake that we must have ran over with the car.
I guess Bombi is walking Dylan instead! Ha!
My bedtime nuggle buddy!

Valentine's Day

Happy Valentine's Day!
Every year Chris picks new recipes, we go grocery shopping together to get the items, then make a fabulous meal together.
This year we invited my momma over too and this is what we ate:
The Pioneer Woman's Perfect Potatoes au Gratin
It was SO VERY GOOD!
For dessert we tried something that I have always wanted to make.  Can you tell what it is?
We had an audience (who of course wanted to try the blow torch).
And a monkey with a monkey doing a "can't wait to eat it dance".
The Pioneer Woman's Creme Brûlée was delicious! {We need to work on the sugar crust, but it was still amazing.}
Love my momma!
And then of course there is Bombi...  I love that dog.

Happy Valentine's Day! ❤️

God's Valentine's Card was breathtaking this morning.
It made me think of Dave Crowder's song, "How He Loves Us!"
Isn't God good?
Payton was all Valentined out for school.
Then we spent the day with Chris running to his appointments.  One stop was at a house where Rylan got to ride this John Deer tracker and got a jug of Sprite.  He thought he was big stuff.  The giggles from him were sweet.
When Chris was done with his appointments, we started our V-Day tradition.  We go grocery shopping and then make a yummy dinner together.  This year Chris grilled an amazing steak which we topped with a mushroom sauce.  We also had garlic smashed potatoes,  roasted asparagus and green beans.  It was amazing.
On the first day of February I hung up these "I ❤️ you because..." signs on each of the kids bedroom doors.  Each day I wrote something that I love about each of the kids on a heart and taped it to the door.  I should have had 14 hearts on there, but only got 9 up.  Next time I would cut all the hearts out at one time, so they were ready to go.
Hope you had a Happy Valentine's Day!

Valentine's Breakfast {for dinner}!

Years ago, Dylan must have been 5 or 6 years old, I made French Toast with Fresh Fruit for breakfast on Valentine's Day.  A few months later, Dylan asked for "Valentine's Breakfast" {french toast}, and so the tradition began!
Since Valentine's fell on a school day this year, and Dylan wakes up WAY earlier than the other 2 kids, we decided to have Valentine's Breakfast for dinner the night before. We had Gigi over,
and we ate some good grub.  French Toast, Bacon, Fresh Fruit {strawberries, blueberries & mango} with an Orange Spritzer {OJ + Sprite}.
It was fun to have Gigi with us to celebrate!
