Week #26 {2019}

Sunday morning, my 4 O'Clocks were still in bloom. These are so pretty in person.
Then we had our Bombi drama.
Monday I took the Littles to VBS!
And Bombi was COMPLETELY back to normal! Yay!
Hi Guy!
Sunsets are my favorite.
Tuesday I found Rylan sleeping on the couch like this...  Ha!
We brought some friends home with us from VBS.
Another spectacular sunset!
Wednesday we had a double burn going.
Another storm, more tree damage.  This one got stuck into the ground!
Saturday we drove down to the new Mt. Pleasant dog park to let Bombi run.
Back at home it was dishwasher install time! One more step in getting the kitchen finished!
Gigi came over and we played Bananagrams.
It's such a fun game!
My cutie patootie...
Can you guess what we did?
Shaved his head!

A Dog's Tale....

Remember when I said that Bombi wasn't feeling well last week? Well we were keeping a close eye on him because he was not eating/drinking or going to the bathroom (what's the polite way to say that for a dog???  Hahaha!) at ALL.  Friday night he woke me up a few times to be let outside, so Saturday night I decided to sleep on the couch with him on the floor.  Let me tell you, it was horrible. He cried, like literally cried all night long and kept wanting outside and then back in. So we decided to take him to the vet...on a Sunday (and let me tell you, an emergency appointment on a Sunday is NOT cheap).  The kids gave him lots of love before we left.
They took x-rays and saw that he was backed up but there was no reason for it.  After looking at our options, including an obscene dollar amount exploratory surgery that the doctor recommended (!!!) she gave us the option to do a dye test.  They would give him some dye and let him wait (there) for 4-6 hours, then re-x-ray him to see where the blockage was.  It was a LOT more reasonable so we went with that option and said our tearful goodbyes.
Waiting all day was agonizing, and when we got the call, it was not good news.  The test was inconclusive.  They said that they could give us medicine to make him more comfortable and we could take him home.  So we all went to pick him up.  We had to wait awhile because they were giving him fluids (similar to an IV bag).  When they brought him to us, he was SO excited and happy to see us all.  He had more energy than he had had in days.  On the way home he even stuck his head outside the window.
When we got home he went directly to his place where we had previously given him 8 treats (trying to get him to eat) which he gobbled up.  Then went straight to his water bowl and drank and drank and drank and drank.
THEN he scratched to go outside and immediately went to the restroom where I saw him POOP A BOUNCY BALL! (Sorry there is not a nicer way to say it.). I was shocked.
His energy is way better, and he is eating and drinking as normal.
We are SOOOOO happy even though we spent a bunch of money on a stupid bouncy ball (ha)!

Week #25 {2019}

Sunday was Father's Day and this was the only picture I got.  (Sorry babe!)  We still celebrated him and what a great dad he is. I couldn't have picked a better man.
This is how we find Bombi quite often now.  Half way under our bed.
Monday morning, I taped this guy for quite awhile.  He originally had pranced across the front of our yard.
We did some yard work and found lots of yummies on our property...
Keifer Pears (but the deer always get these!) and lots of Blackberries.
 These were so good!
 Burn piles for daysssssss.
Tuesday we did a Costco run.
And Gigi got these awesome water shooters for the kids.
 Sunset was pretty awesome
 Wednesday was a pool day...
until the skies opened up and dumped rain on us!
 We still had fun though!
Wanna know what's the best thing about going to the pool??? It's tired kids.  Ry fell asleep on the way  to TKD and he hardly ever takes naps anymore.
That night we had a storm roll through and had some tree damage.

Thursday morning we had another visitor.

Friday we went to work at my mom's house. Dylan had tied up this fallen tree and drove it up to the front of her property for pick up. And check out this cool branch that fell!
Some animal had made a home in the tree.
Our dog is broken.  Seriously broken.
That night we had ANOTHER storm roll through and this time our power went out.
Saturday Bombi had not been feeling well.  We let him off his leash and he just stayed with us. Usually he would run off. So we figured something was up.
He's such a good boy.  We all love him.

And I had the best end to my week.  Snuggles with Ry Guy.
