Week #15 {2020}

Sunday - We walked down and played in the creek.

Chris built me a planter for the back deck.

Like father like son.

More playing in the water.

Monday they came back out to check the drying and decided they needed to pull up part of the peninsula to dry under there as well (so the fans stay for a few more days - ugh!).  It's especially sad since Chris just finished remodeling this kitchen 5 months ago.

I'm so thankful that we got this patio table so I can work outside and not have to hear the fans blowing nonstop.

Wednesday - Fortunately, our stove is electric and I can still make Banana Walnut Muffins.

Thursday - The fans are gone, but this is how the kitchen looks. Fun times.

Ry made himself scrambled eggs.

Bombi has been getting good at his tricks.  He will do anything for a "tookie".

Week #14 {2020}

Sunday - The kiddos found worms. Country life is so good y'all. 

We needed to get out of the house so we picked up food and ate in the parking lot.

Monday - Rylan and I had private taekwondo testing.

Tuesday was cloudy and beautiful.

Thursday - Ry had a Zoom call for his class and he got dressed up for it. It was so cute to see and hear all of his classmates talking.

We have been told that we needed to try Shaffer's BBQ in Summertown.  So Chris, Rylan and I drove down to check it out. Ohmigoodness it was AMAZING! 

Friday - We discovered a water leak in the kitchen and a restoration company came out to start the remediation. They tore up the floor and put in fans to dry everything out.

Saturday the fans were driving me crazy so I went for a walk.  The view from the back of the property sure is pretty.

Actually the fans we're driving all of us crazy so we headed to Lowes and bought patio furniture so we could eat outside.

And of course the kids loved the boxes it all came in!

Week #13 {2020}

Sunday - Watching our old church online while Bombi was looking out the window.

Ry pulled out all of his Skylanders and organized them.

After getting ready for bed, I realized that both Ry and I were wearing Christmas jammies.  Ha!

Monday - We had Mr. Carl over to fix the piping under our sink.  It's great having a friend who's a plumber!

Tuesday - Payton made cherry cupcakes.

And the kids played out in the pond (see them way in the back?).

Bombi is the sweetest boy. I think he is enjoying the kids being home.

Wednesday - See what I mean?

He's sleeping and learning new tricks.

Thursday - Was a beautiful day and the kids are starting to get stir crazy.  We played Harry Potter Labyrinth outside, and Payton painted her nails.

The kids played with their water shooters.

And had snack time outside too.

Dylan edged the fence line for us.

Friday - I got some hammock time and enjoyed the 82 degree weather.

Kitchen Remodel

This was our kitchen before.

And here's what it looks like now!

Chris did an amazing job.  He did all of it himself with the help of Dylan and a teensy tiny bit from me.

He made the countertops.

And made a coffee bar!

I absolutely love it.

Week #38 {2019}

Sunday afternoon it was backspash time. Ry pealed the remaining wallpaper/tiles and Chris installed the new backsplash.

Yay!  It's coming together!

Monday we watched P's soccer game.

Wednesday my cousins came into town.  We of course had to take them to Marcy Jo's.

Then we went back to my house to see Chris.

Thursday - we went to have lunch with Rylan at school.

Then we went to watch Payton's soccer game!

Her team is awesome and has been so fun to watch this year!

I finally cut open my watermelon and it was YELLOW!  So cool!

Friday - I met up with a friend at Just Love Coffee.

We need rain so desperately.  This is dirt kicking up off the lawn.

Saturday - Rec soccer picture day.

McAlister's {which has the best tea ever} with the best man ever.
