Where the Red Fern Grows {review}

When Dylan was in 1st grade I read the classic, Where the Red Fern Grows by Wilson Rawls to him and he fell in love with it.  We found the movie and when we were watching it, he kept saying "That's not how he looks!" or "That's not how it went in the book!"  It was pretty funny!
Anywho, when we were commuting up to their old schools at the end of the last school year, we found this audiobook at the library and started listening to it. {Dylan loved it so he was excited to hear it again.}  The school year ended and we weren't in the car as much so we never finished it.  Then we got my car and the cd player doesn't work in it so we never got renewed the audio book from the library.
Recently I realized that we could download it on my phone {duh!} and we started listening to it again.  Even RYLAN was asking to turn on "Red Fern" when we were driving.
At first, the narrator sounded a little odd, but after the first chapter HE TOTALLY fit the book.  It really shouldn't have been anyone else.  So needless to say, this classic {both actual book AND audiobook} is definitely a favorite in our family!
I give it 5 stars.
