Small Projects

Chris has done a couple of small projects around the house, so I wanted to give you some before and after photos!

He added the board & batten, and the lanterns.

Then he built these awesome floating shelves.  We are still trying to figure out how to stage them and Dylan keeps moving those ball things around...crazy kid!

I'm so thankful for my creative and handy husband!

Week #7 {2017}

Sunday - Remember when my niece gave us a framed Muletown Coffee sleeve and Rylan wouldn't put it down?  Well, I had to make him his own for his room. He says it reminds him of "Papa Nutt".

Chris made a new coffee table for our living room and I love it!

Monday we got to go and run an errand with Chris.  He stopped at Muletown Coffee {for their amazing Dixie Pecan Latte!} and when he walked out he gave me this hat saying "Happy Valentine's Day"! {I love it!}

That night we had Valentine's Breakfast for dinner.

Wednesday was Valentine's Day.

Thursday Rylan was being a ham {as usual}.

My mom gave me some beautiful tulips for Valentine's Day.

Friday I was exhausted... and then Payton woke up sick.  So we kept her home from school and we headed down to Gigi's.

My mom watched the kids while I snuggled up and took a nap.

Then we realized that it was a  BEAUTIFUL day outside and went to soak in the sunshine.

I even ended up with a topless explorer.

That night we snuggled in for family movie night.

Saturday we went out and about, stopping for a quick bite.

Once we got home, Payton wanted to cut her hair.

So I took off a few inches.  My sweet girl.

We had some friends stop by and I think their daughter loved the Chocolate Chip Cookies I made.  They were pretty good - I like mine a little gooey-er.  But if you prefer more cake-like cookies, give them a try!

God's Valentine's Card was breathtaking this morning. 

It made me think of Dave Crowder's song, "How He Loves Us!"  

Isn't God good?

Payton was all Valentined out for school.

Then we spent the day with Chris running to his appointments.  One stop was at a house where Rylan got to ride this John Deer tracker and got a jug of Sprite.  He thought he was big stuff.  The giggles from him were sweet.

When Chris was done with his appointments, we started our V-Day tradition.  We go grocery shopping and then make a yummy dinner together.  This year Chris grilled an amazing steak which we topped with a mushroom sauce.  We also had garlic smashed potatoes,  roasted asparagus and green beans.  It was amazing.

On the first day of February I hung up these "I ❤️ you because..." signs on each of the kids bedroom doors.  Each day I wrote something that I love about each of the kids on a heart and taped it to the door.  I should have had 14 hearts on there, but only got 9 up.  Next time I would cut all the hearts out at one time, so they were ready to go.
