Friends

Its fun to see Dylan (and Payton) make friends so quickly here.

His buddy came over to play and they invited Payton to sit out at the stairwell to play cards.
{I blocked out his friend just in case his parents don't want his face online!}

I did a little catching up on my posts . . . check them out!

I'm Back!

Well, I didn't mean to take a month off from blogging . . .  but I
moved
didn't have internet for a couple of weeks
had my mom out for a week (yea!)
have a teething 18 month old (molars are the worst!)
and am trying to adjust to being a Nashvillian (is that even a word)?
I MAY catch up on old posts, but we will have to wait and see.

So here is where we are living for the next 6 months.
I am very proud of our table and chairs that Chris refinished and recovered.
He rocks.
Because of said teething 18 month old waking up in the middle of the night, I'm tired.
I woke up from a quick afternoon nap today to this.
A sweet picture and a cup of iced tea from Payton.
After dinner we bundled up (because it got really cold, really fast this week), and went to play catch and swing on the swings.

Gigi's Last Day + The Rest of the Week

Monday we woke up bright and early.

Since we had to take Gigi to the airport that evening, we crammed the day full of fun and pictures.
We went on a walk.

Dylan took this picture!

Made Carob Bites.

Payton drew a picture for Gigi to take with her.

Then we headed to McAllister's Deli.
Rylan ordered a lemon slice {grin}.

Me and my sweet girl.

Payton's turn to play photographer.

Then stopped by a pumpkin patch.

And tried to get a good picture of all three kids.

Took Gigi to Gigi's Cupcakes.

Brought them home . . .

And had our taste buds rocked by this awesomeness!

Kentucky Burbon Cupcake & Apple Pie Cupcake.
W-O-W!
~
Gigi gave the kids some fun parting gifts.

And I tried to get a picture of her and the kids.

Then I realized that Rylan wasn't in the pictures.
When it was time to go the kids clung onto her legs and wouldn't let her go.

Again trying to get a picture but this time with Rylan.

Payton was not happy and wouldn't smile.
We made it to the airport.
And had to say goodbye.

We were not happy about that.
I am so grateful that my mom was able to come and stay with us.
I love her dearly and enjoyed the time we had together and can't wait for next time!
~
Here are some random shots of Rylan from this week.

Don't you just love those lips?
I made a batch of Banana Chip Muffins.
And Payton got to go to a birthday party for our neighbor who is also in Payton's class at school!
She had a blast!
