Downtown Franklin is one of my favorite places. They have such fun events and festivals there!
This was our first time to attend their Dickens of a Christmas. There were a BUNCH of peopled dressed up as characters from Charles Dickens' stories, dancers and musicians.
The first person we ran into was Ol' Saint Nick. He was talking with someone and saw the kids out of the corner of his eye. He stopped his conversation, stooped down to talk to and hug the kids.
The Statue Guy was there and the kids loved watching him.
And this gentleman walked up to Payton and told her to watch her pockets and her mom's purse, because his friends were there to pick-pocket people so they can meet up later and eat dinner.
When her eyes got as big as saucers, he whispered that he was only pretending but that was what happened back in those times.

We got to watch a blacksmith do a presentation.
And the kids were intrigued.
Especially Dylan, he now wants to be a blacksmith.
So, are you ready to hear something that I NEVER thought I would say {much less think}?!??
It was too warm....It was in the 70's and it was too warm to be at a Christmas celebration. It needed to be a little bit cooler.

I know, what's happening this California girl?
Thanks Downtown Franklin for another amazing festival!
