Thirteen Months

Rylan is 13 months old today and is full of joy.

I think we are finally over the sickness (praise the Lord!).
We are dealing with a bit of teething, but that is okay.  I will take that any day.
He is running everywhere.  Climbing up everything.
Laughing like crazy.
He learned to sign "more" this past month.
I will catch him just hugging on Payton (which she loves).
Dylan gets excited over every little thing he learns.
He LOVES to dance.  And will give an impromptu performance at any type of music.
And really loves to throw and kick balls.
Sasha taught him "The Itsy Bitsy Spider".  See?

And is always good for a round of "Patty-cake".

Last Day of 3rd Grade

I CANNOT believe that my little man graduated from 3rd grade today and I now have a 4th grader.
I am NOT that old . . . seriously somebody freeze time!

So adorable.

We had to be at Dylan's awards ceremony at 8am.
Ry guy was walking around like he owned the place.

Waiting for the ceremony to start.

Going up for another award.
See the 2 medals he is already wearing?

Walking back with his certificate of completion.

Him and his buddy Matthew.

And of course the iconic, silly face photo.

Here's how he "threw" his awards on his desk.

His lovely teacher Mrs. Morgan!

I am BEYOND proud of this little dude.

Summer had officially began!

He got a(n):  Accelerated Reader Award
A and B Honor Roll Award
Reading Success Maker Award
Math Success Maker Award

AND was one of 2 kids (one boy and one girl) out of the whole grade to get this award.

Papa and Sasha had a pretty cool graduation surprise for both of them today too.
Close your eyes.

Keep them closed!

Holy moley!

They were so stoked.

Dylan knew right away what it was.
Kobo Readers!

Payton got pink one and Dylan got a blue one.
They are such lucky kids!

This afternoon we went back to the pool.
This time Rylan got to go too.

I love this pic because you can see his teeth coming in!

Yeah for SUMMER!!!!

Last Day of Pre-K

This day has come.
There were some tears last night.  Payton didn't want to go to her last day of school.
She (and me too!) will desperately miss seeing her teachers each day.
There was a mix of excitement and sadness.
Fortunately she put on a smile for some photos before school started.

And some silly faces and poses.

I surprised her at school with Cheerio Marshmallow Bars to celebrate her summer birthday.

She was super excited.

Here are her phenomenal teachers.

She had a great last day and we promised that this wouldn't be good-bye, just that we will see them later.
These ladies have made such an impact on Payton and I.
We love them!

On the way to Payton's school.  I saw this in the road.

That is a HUGE snapping turtle (about 1-1/2 foot in diameter).
And we turned Rylan around in his car seat so he is facing forward.
He loved it.

After Dylan got home from school and I put Rylan down for a nap, the big kids and I went to the pool.
Here was my awesome view.

Don't worry, Chris was working from home.  I didn't leave Rylan at home by himself.  =)
