Book Report

A couple of weeks ago Dylan was assigned a book report.
As I read through the 1 page-long instructions and requirements I started to hyperventilate.
Well, not really, but I knew this would require a lot on my part.
Then I read the last paragraph . . .
It would be completed IN CLASS!
Woot woot!
Here is his finished book report.

He had read Harry Potter - Goblet of Fire
He had to create a "house" (or castle in his case) that he would find in the story or something to represent the story.
Then he had to add "facts" and details about the story in the windows and doors.
He did an amazing job!

Our Week

Sorry for the lack of posts . . .
but nothing exciting has been going on here since the sick bug has hit our family (again).
We were doing this:

(Dylan with a 103.8 fever)
In good moments swinging with daddy.

Sporting sick eyes.

Having eye booger and crusted over noses.

Playing dominos while Dylan was home from school for 2 days.

And having breathing treatments.

He even tried to suck on it!

Needless to say I've not been getting (much) sleep.
3am Wednesday morning I posted this on Facebook:
Of you want to read the blog post (and you really should - it's so good), click {here}.
Hopefully tomorrow will be more exciting.  =)

Gigi's Secret Ingredient

We are all sick today, well, everyone except Payton.
So instead of my posting pictures of us lazying around all day in our jammies,  missing church and watching wayyyy too many movies,
I decided to share a secret.
A highly classified secret.
"Gigi's Secret Ingredient"

It started years back when Dylan was just a little guy.
He loved having "secret ingredient" every time he went to Gigi's house.
When we were moving Dylan asked if we could take some with us.
She obliged and put it in a ziplock bag for us.
When we ran out Dylan asked if Gigi could mail us some more.
He was certain that I didn't know what was in it.
Which got me thinking.
I had her write (and mail) a label to us.
I put it on an old mason jar and whipped up a batch while the kids were in school.
They were both excited that "she" sent us a new batch!

So can you guess what Gigi's Secret Ingredient is?
Cinnamon Sugar

Shhhh, don't tell them you know!
