Weekend at Papa & Sasha's

Friday morning we headed down to see Papa & Sasha's for the weekend.
We met them for lunch at Brooklyn Joe's (our favorite place to eat there) and after Dylan got a much needed hair cut at the barber shop next door.
So handsome!
We did some shopping at the Outlets in Woodstock and the kids had some fun!
There's a Ghirardelli there so of course we stopped for a yummy hot fudge sunday.
Have I mentioned that Rylan now walks down stairs without holding onto anything?
Saturday morning Payton and I woke up early and went (in our jammies) to meet her sweet teachers from Pre-Kindergarten for breakfast at Chick-fil-A.  Mrs. Dowd & Mrs. Johnson are AMAZING!
We love these ladies SO much and were so glad that we got to hug them.
When we got back home we all did a lot of this . . .
(Yes, that is Chris laying on top of Dylan!  Dylan hopped into daddy's spot when he got up for a minute and wouldn't get up, so daddy just laid down on top of him!)
~
Hanging out with my girl (and that's Ry's arm in the picture).
Dylan's buddy Brent got to come over and play for a bit.
We went to "Linner" at Chesecake Factory and both the boys wore their new kicks.
Sunday morning we went to visit our old church, Oak Leaf. We got to see and hug some friends and hear a great message from Pastor Will. It's great to see the church growing!
After we went to lunch with the Sampsell's.

They are amazing friends. The kind that even though time has passed, we can pick up right where we left off.
The kids were so good while we were at lunch. When looking at my phone, I figured out why . . .
Crazy kids!
Back in the car, headed back to Tennessee. Want to know how to keep an almost 2 year old (boo hoo!) happy in a long car ride?
Give him a blue ring pop of course!
~
I've grown to love seeing this sign. It means I'm headed home.
And it is a pretty drive too!

What Happened This Week

I love when my very active, ball of energy, always on the go, sweet very sweet boy
crashes in my lap.
And when he wears Payton's pink cowboy boots. (Yes, this is a blackmail picture!)
Ooohhhh, so true.
I'm praying that the Lord continues to help me hold my tongue.
~
I made a yummy Strawberry Spinach Salad thanks to Pinterest!
We had "snow flurries" that felt more like a blizzard it was coming down so fast and hard. It even started to stick on the ground.
Then 20 minutes later, the sun was out and all the snow was melted!
~
I love living in the South. We see this kind of stuff ALL the time.
Hanging out in the car while Rylan took a nap.
Chick-fil-A playtime for Ry Guy.
And a quick break for their yummy lemonade.
I bought my first jar of this stuff.
And got a lot of great tips and tricks for using it on Instagram and Facebook.
~
So happy.
Sasha said that in that picture he looked just like his daddy at that age.
~
He is just like his big brother, if he finds anything that is electronic...he has to play with it!

Strawberry Spinach Salad {recipe}

Yay for another awesome recipe from Pinterest! The original name is WAY too long so I shortened it to Strawberry Spinach Salad.

P.S. I just used bottled Kraft Poppyseed Dressing instead of making the dressing from scratch.

Twenty Three Months

I'm in denial that my baby boy will be 2 years old in just one month. Can we PPPLLLLEEEAAAAASSSSSEEEE slow down time, just a bit? Pretty please? With cherries on top?
His vocabulary has taken off this last month and he will copy everything that we say, but here are some of the things that he says all the time.
No (Yes, we have hit that stage. Yay! - Not!)
Reabee-Set-Go (Ready-Set-Go, then he runs around being super silly.)
Gum
Buh-bow = peek-a-boo
Deepee = Payton (We sometimes call Dylan DD and Payton PP . . . Ry calls her DP)
Yeah (As in response to a question. It's cute but we definitely want him to say "yes" instead.)
Button (And likes pushing every button possible; garage door, car door, buttons on our keys, dishwasher.)

He likes zipping up his zippers.
March 2nd he had his first hair trim (Thank you Sasha!). And did I take pictures??? No. (Poor 3rd child!)
He LOVES Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood.

Nashville Zoo

We went to the Nashville Zoo with some friends today and had such a good time. We can't wait to go back!
Those are kangaroos behind them (if you can't tell).
We got pretty close to them.
They had a pretty cool dinosaur exhibit (DinoTrek) going on.
One of the dinosaurs even spit at you.
Payton liked that part a little too much
Rylan checking out the creepy crawlies.
Payton had a slight crush on Christian. {What is it with her and boys?}

Went to learn a little bit about the Battle of Franklin.
Pretty cool view from the Observation Post!
Swinging at the park.
We can't wait to see them again. We always have such a great time with them!
